Pleasant Valley Christian Camp is a ministry supported by independent non denominational Christian Churches throughout the state of Washington Although these churches are independent they rally together for Christian ministries around the world and Pleasant Valley Christian Camp is a result of that fellowship.
This fellowship of churches has their roots in the restoration movement. The restoration movement is not to be confused with the reformation which centered on the Catholic Church and sought to reform the church. Likewise, it should not be confused with protestant revolution or those who protested and started something different than the Catholic Church. Rather than protesting or trying to reform the church, those of the restoration movement believed that what was needed was to restore the Christianity found in the New Testament. To this end they believe the Bible is the source of authority for the Church and their walk with Christ. They believe they are not the only Christian but seek to be Christians only. They strive to speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where it is silent. Their hope is that in essentials there would be unity, in non essentials liberty, and in all things, love. They wanted to restore the Church and the Christianity that they found in the New Testament.
At Pleasant Valley Christian Camp we reflect these endeavors and strive to provide a Christian Camping experience that is Bible based, Christ centered, and life changing.
